Tenova provides heavy duty pickling lines with high operative performances and high coefficient of utilization with the added advantage of low operating costs.
The solutions offered for carbon steels are of three main types plus a combination of them:
• Continuous: providing high productivity (up to 2.200.000 t/y)
• Semi-continuous: for thinner gauges using a simplified loop car
• Push-pull: for medium to high strip thickness and strength ranges
• WRPL (Wide Range Pickling Lines): combined push-pull/ semi-continuous pickling lines which provide high productivity and pickled quality for both thin and thick gauges.

Pickled quality and turbulence technology:
Superior scale removal with no over pickling, correct gradient concentration of dissolved metal and acid, along with cascade rinsing guarantee top pickled quality to your steel strip for direct selling or cold rolling.
From a technological point of view, Tenova offers the most up to date solutions.
In the shallow type pickle tank, the turbulent acid flow is counter direction to the strip travel to insure higher pickling efficiency and a shorter process section

Acid Regeneration:
Concerned about the environmental impact, Tenova adds the Acid Regeneration Process (ARP) to its proven technologies in pickling line, designing and managing “Zero Waste” plants with no external fluids (See Tenova Key Technologies page).
Tenova is able to offer the last up to date solutions for hydrochloric acid regeneration by means of spray roaster or fluidized bed technology, giving the opportunity to the customers to choose the most suitable solution.
