Furnace Controller
Tenova Pyromet supplies a furnace or electrode controller with all its new furnace installations. The controller is widely recognized as reliable and accurate, maximizing power input, and achieving improved power consumption efficiencies. Tenova Pyromet also developed a Lining Management System for the monitoring and prediction of lining wear and lining life. The LMS acts as a process monitoring tool that indicates the effect of upset process conditions on lining and hearth temperatures.

3D models available to the operator can display the initial furnace lining, the worn refractory lining, and the frozen slag layer. The calculated real time isotherms can be displayed on the refractory hot face.
